The Work Continues---Fall, 2012

One more chimney cleaning attempt.  It worked thanks to the old chimney brush we found in the barn (not the new one we bought that didn't work!)

We have a new stove!  Thanks to Steve for helping bring it in!

Hooray!  First Fire.

Sanding the floor in the entry/living room

Ok--I need to document something I'm doing!  I'm going to tackle the carpet in this hallway.

Before.

Carpet is up--exposing the wood style marmoleum.

Justin started putting the sealer "finish" on the newly sanded floor.  It's called Waterlox.  Good stuff!

The wood floor in the hallway is exposed!

Time for a fire.

Fire gnome.

Kitty in the window--keeping watch on the work going on outside.

Another trip to the hardware store--but we found the perfect tile for the shower floor!

Dinner time.  With goodies from the garden.

Shower floor.

Looks great!

We took a break and went to the Fryeburg fair where we bought two sheepskins (for the baby) and a cowhide rug.

Floor tiles are setting.

Now THAT looks like a shower!

My new apple pie recipe is our new favorite.

My second project--tackling this bathroom--at least with some quick fixes.

Look at that terrible floor!

Nice pink sink!  (This is the view from underneath).

Those tan walls have GOT to go!

A radiator used to be here.  Can you tell by the paint!?

We need a better looking bathroom to match this view!

The marble will go here and on the curb.  Now...to order it!

First freeze....no more lettuce!

A fall treat--acorn squash from the farm stand with maple and brown sugar.  YUM.

So...I painted it this color.  It looks like mint ice cream!  I'll be choosing a new color.

I DO NOT like this color.  Ugh.
